SDU (Special Duty Unit) is a police special force belonging to the Hong Kong Police Agency and is praised as the best police special force in Asia. In particular, their CQB facilities are world-class.
SDU was founded in 1974 and received many lessons from the 22nd Regiment when it dispatched a training team to Hong Kong in 1978. The SDU's equipment and tactics were inherited from the SAS, and traces of this remain clearly even after Hong Kong was returned to China.
