Among them, the most widely known rescue operation is the rescue operation of the Air France aircraft hijacking incident that occurred in 1994. Four Algerian Islamic fundamentalist terrorists hijacked their country's aircraft at Ourai Boumediene Airport in Algeria and forced it to land at Marseille Marina Airport in France, leading to a confrontation with the French government.
